Autumn?

Good morning everyone! I had a fabulous weekend! Unfortunately it felt like it flew by... Saturday was super busy! We had 2 soccer games and my hubby and I had planned a sunset hike for our date night. So I'm still trying to get use to the heat in October. Back in the Midwest there is already a chill in the air. It's so difficult to decorate for fall when its still 90 degrees out! Definitely not complaining. I would rather be hot than cold!

For our date night we went to Papago Park. I heard that sunset views from there are phenomenal! The grapevine does not lie.. we climbed one of the Buttes and enjoyed this gorgeous view!

On the way down in the dark was a different story...My husband seems to have no fear and I'm freaking out because I know all the critters come out when it gets dark. Thank goodness for IPhone flashlight because we didn't come prepared to walk in the dark. Overall it was one of the best date night we have had and it didn't cost a thing! For the next date night, I want to go to the summit of South Mountain and look at the stars!

A Leap of Faith

I can't believe it's already October! It has been a whirlwind the last few months. My family and I moved cross country last July from Illinois to Arizona. Crazy right? It was one of the hardest decision I've ever made in my life. Have you ever had that feeling that you are living an unfulfilled life? That there is something out there that you are destined to do. I'm a firm believer of YOLO. But not in the sort of way that involves partying, drinking, and making stupid decisions. Been there, done that. But in a way that I want to live a life rich in experience. I have made so many life changing decisions this year it's hard to even believe that I actually did it. I have been a vegetarian for over a year now. If you want to know why and what made me want to become vegetarian, stay tuned for a later post. I fell in love with the Southwest when my husband and I vacationed out here a few years back. We have been to Vegas countless of times and we visited Arizona twice. I love the sun, the mountains, and the big blue sky. There is something about the feeling I get when I'm standing on top of the mountain. It's like seeing the world for the first time. I feel so small and insignificant but in a good way...I know that's an oxymoron! But feeling small and insignificant makes me appreciate how big and beautiful the world is and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface. When I'm driving and I catch a glimpse of the beautiful sun setting behind the mountains, it takes me breath away every time. I never get sick of it.

I miss my family and friends that I left behind but they understand that this is something I have to do, I would rather fail than regret that I didn't do something. This is my leap of faith. I'm living outside of my comfort zone and enjoying every bit of it. If there was something you wish you did or could have done, what would it be and did you take a leap of faith?
